Dr Julie Lukic

Dr Julie Lukic is a fertility specialist, graduating medicine through Monash University and in 1996 completing her Obstetric and Gynaecology training at the Royal Hospital for Women in Sydney. Through the same hospital Dr Julie was accepted as a Fellow in Reproductive Medicine and over the next few years gained an excellent grounding in all aspects of infertility treatment. However, at that time advances in IVF were rapidly evolving and she was pleased to be able to further her studies with another Fellowship at the prestigious McGill University in Montreal, where over the next three years Dr Julie became involved in ground breaking research with egg freezing and fertility preservation as well as IVM. Dr Julie was also trained in minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery focusing on the surgical treatment of infertility and in 2006 completed the Advanced Integrated Training Program in Minimal Access Pelvic Surgery.

Dr Julie is a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG), Fellow in Reproductive Medicine (REI McGILL), a member of the Fertility Society of Australia (FSA), and a member of the American and European Societies of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM, ESHRE).

On returning to Australia, Dr Julie helped set up Fertility East in Bondi Junction and ran a successful obstetric and fertility practice with an emphasis on complete patient care from assistance with conception to birth of the baby. The clinic was also involved in one of the largest sperm donation programs in Australia.

In 2014, Dr Julie was brought in on the establishment of the first Medicare Bulk-Billed IVF clinic in Sydney.

And now in 2021, Dr Julie is proud to be associated with Connect IVF. It has always been a long-term vision of hers, and to be able to offer Australian women a quality Bulk-billed IVF service that is solely focused on the reproductive needs of women without the restrictions and pressures associated with a big corporation and the financial burdens which come with such an association is her passion.
