IVF GP Workup - Female condition specific in addition to mandatory testing

Suggestion of PCOS/PMOS:

Suggestion of hemoglobinopathy (Southern European, Middle Eastern, Asian with red cell indices):

  • Thalassemia screening (HbEPG)

History of anaemia, chronic GIT issues, heavy menstrual bleeding, obesity surgery, vegetarian diet:

  • Iron studies test (transferrin, transferrin saturation & ferritin)    
  • B12 Studies (reason must be  stated on request form)

Recurrent miscarriage, family history chromosomal issues, suspected premature ovarian dysfunction:
