Donor Sperm Services

Donor Sperm Services at Connect IVF provide a safe, supportive, accessible pathway to parenthood for individuals and couples who require donor sperm to conceive.

What are Donor Sperm Services?

Donor Sperm Services is a fertility treatment involving sperm from a healthy donor male used to fertilise eggs of a recipient either through Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) or In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF). All donors are thoroughly assessed to meet Australian regulatory standards. You may choose a de-identified donor from our approved third-party gametes banks using specific Connect IVF portals to access suitable donors, or you may bring your own known donor, with full support throughout the screening and treatment process.

A De-identified donor is a donor that is not known to you personally, but who’s identification details have been captured for inclusion on the NSW Central Register. The Central Register allows for a donor conceived individual to find out information regarding their genetic parentage when they come of age.

Who can benefit from Donor Sperm Services?

  • Those experiencing male fertility factors
  • Those where the male genetics could cause severe disease in a child and therefore choose not to use their own genetic material for conception
  • Single women or same-sex female couples looking to conceive in a risk considered environment
